I have been working remotely since 2010 as the fulltime office manager for an accounting and insolvency practice based in Auckland. During this period I have gained over 12 years insolvency administration experience and 4 years AML (Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism) compliance experience. With the pending retirement of the principal partner later this year, this has prompted my decision to go it alone as a virtual administrator / bookkeeper.
I was responsible for the setting up of all systems, processes, templates, the establishment of supplier relationships, and overseeing of the branding and website development process. My role included the day to day running of the practice, the administration, bookkeeping and IT functions, ongoing AML compliance, fostering client and supplier relationships, and administering insolvency assignments.
In 2016 I was responsible for setting up the practice’s SharePoint site, including setting up of the OnePlace Solutions add-in, and oversaw the migration of data from Microsoft CRM to the new SharePoint site. This system proved to be extremely effective for the practice, cutting down administration time and enabling greater visibility over client files.
In October 2018 accountants came under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 and I was responsible for writing both the practice’s Risk Assessment and Compliance Programme, and ensuring that the practice was compliant by 1 October 2018.
Based in Hamilton, I can work either remotely from my office at home or on site, depending on your needs. I pride myself in my ability to problem solve, my “get things done” attitude, and being able to think both in and outside the box. I thrive on being able to support those that want to work smarter, not harder, allowing them to focus their time on the things that really matter to them. I am fully versed in most IT packages and have proven systems in place to work remotely.
